About Laura:

Laura Youngkin is a theatrical producer and creative consultant with more than a decade of industry experience. Her interdisciplinary work stretches across off-Broadway theatre, live entertainment, large-scale attractions, branded experiences, classical opera, scripted and non-scripted television, independent film, advanced robotics, and development of original works.

Prior to owning her own creative practice, Laura was a Creative Producer & Imagineer at Walt Disney Imagineering, responsible for the development and production of attractions, live entertainment, and integrated guest experiences. She recently oversaw creative development and production for Na’vi River Journey, a new attraction coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2017 as part of PANDORA: The World of [James Cameron’s] AVATAR. Separately, she has also developed projects with Walt Disney Creative Entertainment and Cirque du Soleil.

In addition to her creative work, Laura is passionate about several causes and recently served on a White House Committee for Michelle Obama’s educational initiative, Better Make Room. She also regularly guest-lectures on college campuses from coast to coast. In 2016, she created and self-produced The Brave Millennial, a research & storytelling project designed to better understand the collective workplace & personal experiences of millennial women across the U.S. Laura will be debuting her findings at the upcoming 2017 SXSW Conference in Austin.
