34: Gianna Wurzl, Co-Founder of Quilt

On this Episode:

Gianna Wurzl, Co-Founder of Quilt joins Baily to talk about:

  • Initially leaning on her friends and friends of friends to launch Quilt, a platform that empowers women to gather in homes for great conversations

  • The process behind how Quilt enables women to build community and create real connections, primarily through their IOS app

  • How they’re providing women with opportunities to share their knowledge and experience with others through teaching Chats, 1-hour long meaningful conversations on topics that matter

Since recording our conversation, Quilt launched its IOS app which makes it easy to connect offline, and saves every woman you meet IRL to the app so you can literally leave your phone in the car. They also launched an initiative called Quilt House Party, gathering up to 75 women out of a home to have fun and share their feelings each month in LA, NYC, SF, and Orange County.

About Gianna:

Gianna Wurzl’s purpose is to rebuild the feminine connection. She co-founded Quilt, a decentralized community platform that enables women to open their homes to other women for meaningful conversation. Working in creative industries like publishing and advertising, she felt motivated to reimagine how we work, from a woman’s perspective. She launched her first company, One Roof, which transformed homes into co-working spaces, in 2015. The natural evolution is the creation of Quilt with her business partner, Ashley Sumner. Don’t ask Gianna for directions, going left when she’s meant to go right, but she’s got this journey dialed.
