event recap
There has never been a more crucial time to build and sustain a community full of aligned humans who are committed to symbiotic support, reciprocal relationships, and intentional collaboration… but how?? In the first Community Q&A, Connection Strategist Baily Hancock covered strategies for nurturing meaningful, values-aligned relationships and emphasized the importance of choosing who has access to us.
Key Topics Discussed:
Community Building vs. Joining Existing Communities: Attendees discussed the dual approach of creating one’s own supportive network and finding like-minded people within established communities.
Navigating Political and Social Differences: Participants shared experiences on setting boundaries with those whose values conflict with their own, including strategies for managing personal and business relationships under such conditions.
Practical Tips for Community Engagement: Baily introduced the “3G’s” model (Grow, Give, Get) to guide community involvement, suggesting ways to choose communities that foster personal growth (Grow), allow for giving back (Give), and provide opportunities to receive support (Get).
Balancing Virtual and In-Person Connections: The importance of maintaining local, in-person relationships for practical support and fostering deeper bonds was emphasized, especially given the limits of solely virtual networks.
The Importance of Reciprocal Relationships and Boundaries: The conversation highlighted the value of reciprocal relationships, urging attendees to cultivate networks of people who provide mutual support and respect personal boundaries.
